Back the link between business and the next generation of leaders.

New Zealand organisations standing behind industry-connected education. From the boardroom to the undergraduate and from undergraduate to job.

01 What it is

Supporters, not sponsors. These are the New Zealand organisations who want a hand in what Otago is building, not just a logo on it.

They believe the best education is built alongside the people who go on to hire its graduates. They want to be in the room and help shape it, not fund it from the outside.

02 Why it exists

Otago is building one connected machine. Senior leaders come into the room through APEX; the businesses they lead become the real cases our students learn from; and the thread runs all the way to undergraduates building judgement with AI before they graduate.

Supporters make that loop real. You help close the gap between what industry actually needs and what a graduate walks out the door able to do.

Industry, leaders, institution and students — connected, on purpose. Supporters are how that connection holds.

03 Ways to be involved

There are many ways in, and most of them are time, access and direction, not money. The first conversation is never about funding. It's about what you can see that we can't, and what your organisation needs from the people we teach.

Held broad for now. The specific ways to be involved are being shaped (a short brand guide to come). Until then, the door is simply open.

04 In good company

Early supporters are New Zealand organisations that wanted in before there was anything to point to. More are joining.

Draft — roster held. Deloitte intended as the first named supporter (pending Phil's agreement); full roster to confirm with Jess.

05 Talk to us

Being a supporter starts with a conversation, not a pitch. If your organisation wants to stand behind this, talk to Jess Luxton, who leads the Supporters Club.
